Dropbox Instructions

Our Ukulele Club has been using Dropbox to share our music for almost a year now.  This has made it so much easier on our members because we haven’t had to lug around a bunch of physical books when a single tablet works great!

To download our digital book on Dropbox, please visit our website from your tablet

  • click on the Dropbox icon in the top right corner.  This will open your Dropbox app.
  • click on the “…” in the upper right corner of the folder window
  • select “Save to my Dropbox”
  • click on “Choose a Different Folder” and select the location you wish to save our book (for Theme Songs, pick “North Bay Ukulele Club” folder then the appropriate Letter folder for each song)
  • select Save in the upper right corner to begin the downloading process
  • click on “cancel” in the upper LEFT corner to exit to your own Dropbox

You will now have access to our book on your personal Dropbox account; however, you will still need to download each song to your device to gain access while offline. unfortunately this can take quite a while, but it is worth because any possible updates will happen automatically.

We will use “Bad Moon Rising” as example for the following instructions:

For Apple tablets each song needs to be downloaded individually:

  • open folder “B”
  • click once on “Bad Moon Rising” until the preview appears on the right
  • Press the drop down arrow on the right of the file name
  • select “Make Available Offline”
  • there should now be a green circle next to the drop down arrow
  • do this for EVERY file in EVERY folder

For Android tablets, you can download all the files in each letter folder at once:

  • click on the vertical “…”
  • choose “Save to my Dropbox”
  • select “Save” and you’ll need to wait a few minutes
  • press the “X” in the upper left corner
  • open your Dropbox app
  • click on the “North Bay Ukulele Club” folder
  • open folder “B”
  • select the check mark in a box in the upper right
  • select the double check mark in the upper right
  • select the down arrow in a box (next to the double check mark)
  • do this for EVERY folder
